Our congregation was established in 1835. We have a long heritage, but more importantly, a strong faith in the living Christ to share with you. Come join us in praise and worship of our awesome God.

First Christian Church is a fellowship of Christians committed by faith to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
We confess Him alone as the Sovereign head of the Church.

Our only authoritative guide in matters of faith and doctrine is Holy Scripture which we believe to be the word of God. Only what the Bible requires for salvation we teach as essential for membership in the Church. What makes one a Christian also makes one a member of the body of Christ.

We are a free people in Christ, responsibly governing our own affairs in obedience to the Scriptures. We do have fellowship with all who confess Jesus as the Christ. We are part of that working fellowship known as the Disciples of Christ. We support the mission of the Church through this body.

As the Scriptures teach that there is "one Lord, one faith, one baptism" so we teach and so we practice. We invite all who share this simple faith in Jesus to join hands with us in His splendid service.
